Customers come from all over to have their skates professionally sharpened. These same customers were consistently asking if we would consider carrying figure skates and dresses to compliment our sharpening. After being invited to sharpen skates with our portable sharpener at many local figure skating competitions, we proceeded with ordering a few dresses, tights and accessories to take with us. After selling over half of our inventory in one day Michelle quickly realized the demand for a figure skating boutique on the island.

So the story begins, a summer of solid sweat and tears, and we opened up, On The Edge (OTE), a figure skating boutique in Stanley Bridge, PEI. A boutique that boasts ” the best figure skate dress selection in the Maritimes”. Customers are coming across the bridge instead of going to Moncton for their skates. Some were even putting their skates on a bus to send to us for sharpening. Today we now have a full service figure and hockey skating shop where you can find everything you need and more and yes people still say we have “the best figure skate dress selection in the Maritimes”.

In 2006 Leith & Michelle began running a small business specializing in the sharpening and repair of figure and hockey skates. With over 25 years experience sharpening and repairing skates, it wasn’t long before Leith’s reputation as a skateologist preceded him. Leith and Michelle both come from a background in customer service and pride themselves on going the extra mile to get it right. We offer quality goods and excellent service to ensure our customers have a pleasant and beneficial experience. OTE is constantly looking for ways to improve products and service that will meet customer demands. OTE is proud to offer leading edge Flat bottom sharpening and OTE is contemplating on whether or not to bring in more hockey equipment for girls. They too are having to go all over the place to find things to fit, we want to make it one stop shopping for them as well.
